[ True enough, in a few minutes he's knocking on Lyanna's door, his stomach a nervous pit. Ghost has taken to sitting at her door in the recent nights, as well; Jon thinks the wolf is getting familiar with his lady aunt, and the thought frays his nerves even worse. ]
( as it turns out, lyanna kind of loves texting. she'd been having a grand old time typing away little messages to people when jon had got in contact with her, alnd that's what she's still doing when he knocks away. she's in good spirits as she clambers off of her bed and opens up the door for him, grinning brightly as she gestures for her nephew to come inside.
there's so much of ned in him that she should be sad, but the future of their family is such an abstract concept to her still, it doesn't really feel real. if anything it's comforting to have someone the spit of her big brother wandering around. )
Come in, come in. ( she ushers him in quickly before gesturing to the comfy looking seat. she herself is going to take back her position on the bed, albeit sitting somewhat more politely this time instead of lounging about lazily. ) Tell me about these horses and women, not together of course.
[ She looks so much like Arya, and also completely unlike her, but the effect is the same. Something about the darkness around the eyes, Jon thinks, as Ghost jostles him aside after Lyanna's invitation. The direwolf settles himself at the side of the bed, by her feet, his fur rising and falling in relaxed breathing.
Jon's wolf is at ease - at odds with his own state. He almost considers stalling at the threshold, to just have this conversation there, but then it'd be rude to leave the door open to a woman's quarters, especially when properly invited. With some trepidation Jon shuts the door behind him, and fidgets where he stands. ]
I'll start with the horses. [ He says it flatly, but his posture makes it a question. ]
( the direwolf's presence is a welcome one, and after a few moments of her feet just dangling over the edge of the bed she even gently touches a toe to ghost's back to test the waters. he's incredibly friendly towards her, of course, but that doesn't mean she's just going to forget that he is a wild animal and should be treated like one.
...well. treated like a wild animal who's allowed a little back rub once in a while. )
Sit down, Jon. ( her tone is teasing as she flaps a hand in his direction, eyebrow raised. ) I'm very interested to hear about this horse, but I'll not be able to concentrate until you relax, I promise you.
( honestly, what a boy. if ever there had been doubt she can see it plain now: that boy is ned's son through and through. )

You're welcome at all times, of course, but I insist you visit to clear this up. I am quite intrigued.

LETTER OF INVITATION.

It would be an honour to attend, Your Grace. The Stark family will be only too glad to bear witness to such an event.
Many thanks, Lyanna.
